I've just begun talking about and processing how I was bullied in elementary and middle school. It's funny how everyone tries to conform and anyone who doesn't, as a young person, is in the outgroup. The Minnesota Zoo has a nature school that my friend transferred to in 11th grade and she talks about it being the best thing - "it was where all the weirdos like me transferred to, it was beautiful." I wish something like that was an option for us! Ahh...it doesn't have to be this way. I'm glad we made it out!
