Not sure why I’ve never noticed them or their cousins. Maybe I’ll have to pay more attention

The Spotted Towhee is widespread in the American West, where males of the species sing from treetops. Back home in the Midwestern United States, I frequently see its cousin, the Eastern Towhee.
