Frontenac: South of Red Wing and north of Lake City is the bluff land state park Frontenac. This park is full of rolling hills and hardwoods. It has many large group campsites and several campgrounds. Frontenac bumps up to the Mississippi River’s Lake Pepin and the views are spectacular. There are 13 miles of hiking trails, none of which disappoint. This bluff land park is a direct trip from the Twin Cities right down Highway 61.
